Layered Living is a co-living housing located in Chicago, specifically tailored to address the substantial demographic of single mothers. This project extends beyond mere accommodation, fostering a community atmosphere and crafting meticulously designed spaces suitable for children. The structure is conceptualized with multiple adaptable and flexible living layers to accommodate the varying needs of single-mother families. It incorporates a central, rigid core egress system, enveloped by modifiable living areas, and is encircled by an informal leisure space known as "The Ring."
