This research examines the unique infrastructure of rural village streets, focusing on how these micro-infrastructures organically adapt to serve the daily lives of their communities. Drawing from fieldwork in rural Guangdong, the research investigates the relationships between public and private uses, the informal systems that shape these environments, and the multifunctional nature of infrastructure elements. By categorizing infrastructure through scale, variety, and ownership, the project seeks to understand the resourcefulness of village life and explore opportunities for enhancing this infrastructure while respecting its intrinsic character.
